The IVDP (Institute of Douro an Porto Wines), in partnership with PORVID, will begin a commented wine tasting on monovarietal wines in order to highlight the varietal richness of the Douro Wine Region and its expression in the identity of the wine.

The inaugural event will take place on Friday, June 17, between 18.00 and 19.00, where the theme will be "The Touriga family", which includes the Touriga Fêmea, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, and Mourisco.

The PORVID (Portuguese Association for the Vine Diversity) stands out in this action for his pioneering role in the conservation and protection of indigenous grape varieties. "Report the diversity and richness of the heritage of the RDD and the importance of vine varieties for diversity and sustainability of territories are the main objectives of these test sessions ", Manuel de Novaes Cabral, president of the Institute of Douro and Port Wines.
